> A large sandy tidal flat expands in the estuary of Miya River (Miya-gawa). The best season is in winter. Wintering gulls are Black-headed Gull, Herring Gull, and Slaty-backed Gull. Ducks are Wigeon Mallard etc. Some Kestrel and Eastern Harrier are seen. Ten or more Ospreys regularly winter in the estuary. In the Tokita river area, various ducks are seen in a close distance; Tufted Duck, Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Teal, Gadwall, and Greater Scaup. Reed Warbler and Zitting Cisticola breed there in summer.
